Patronage application
Through patronage, the European Parliament increases public interest in its work and EU activities, as well as visibility among citizens, the media and civil society. The patronage of the European Parliament means moral support for an individual event, but not a financial and material obligation, as well as not ensuring the use of the institution's premises.
Events in the form of conferences, debates, seminars, university flights, prizes, competitions, festivals and others are eligible under the auspices of the European Parliament if they meet the conditions for eligibility:
- have a clear European dimension - highlight the role of the European Parliament or the EU institutions,
- belong to the field
- do not undermine the dignity of the European Parliament,
- are of good quality,
- have a great reach in informing the public, but this is not about:
- are limited in time - a one-off event (in case of periodic repetition of the event, it is necessary to submit a request for sponsorship each time),
- non-profit.
Procedure for obtaining patronage
The application for patronage is submitted to:
- To whom?
- How?
- What should the application contain?

If the event is patronaged, the provisions on the exposure and visibility of the institution, the logo and other provisions set out in the Rules Governing Patronage By The European Parliament and the Legal Notice on the European Parliament's official website must be observed.
It is also recommended that the organization register in the Transparency Register. The Transparency Register is a database of organizations, associations, groups and the self-employed carrying out activities to influence EU policy and decision-making process.
If the event, even though the patronage was initially confirmed, no longer meets the eligibility conditions, the President may at any time revoke the positive decision to take over the patronage for the event.
