PROJECT ENVIRONMENTAL APPLICABLE LAW ONLINE PLATFORM

Evaluating and improving existing EU laws
EU citizens have the right to give their opinion on existing EU rules. By giving opinions to the relevant authorities, the existing regulations can be simplified, made more effective and thus reduce the administrative burden for the authority and the party or for all participants in the proceedings. For this purpose, the European Commission has set up a platform called Fit for Future (F4F) - Prepared for the Future, consisting of expert groups:
The platform operates on the basis of an annual work program, so it is crucial for the opinion-giver to meet the 30 April deadline. Proposals can be sent throughout the year, but if we want the opinion to be considered in the same year, the April deadline must be met. If the proposal is sent after 30 April, it will not be considered until next year.
The platform's work program has defined themes, but new platforms can always be proposed. Opinions that do not fall within the scope of the platform will be dealt with by Europe Direct.
In giving opinions, it should be noted that:
Also, any links to illegal or pirated equipment will not be published.
F4F will examine the proposals and opinions obtained and will forward those that are relevant to the European Commission.
Proposals relating to:
· legislation already under consideration in the European Parliament and the Council under the legislative procedure,
· legislation that has been in place for less than two years,
· issues within the national competence of an EU Member State,
· issues already subject to planned or ongoing consultation with the social partners,
will not be considered and addressed.
The opinion giver has the option of choosing whether his proposal will be published:
- EU Member States,
- the Committee of the Regions,
- the European Economic and Social Committee, and
- stakeholders from different sectors.
