New EU rules on batteries

The European Parliament has adopted new rules governing the field of batteries. Batteries will be more sustainable, longer-lasting and more efficient, and the rules govern stricter targets for waste collection, recycling efficiency and material recovery of batteries. With such a measure, the entire life cycle of batteries is regulated - from planning to the end of their useful life. The main purpose of the new rules is to promote a circular economy and reduce the environmental footprint.
