Through the European Parliament elections! The year 2024 is approaching – the year of the elections. EU citizens will elect 720 deputies (the increased number of seats - from 705 to 720 - is a novelty of the upcoming mandate, due to demographic changes) who will represent and represent the interests of the EU from 2024 to 2029. Elections are an indirect democratic tool through which electoral participation of EU citizens reflects the legitimacy of the elections or the legitimacy of the exercise of power. When an individual participates in the formation of a body in a prescribed manner and in a prescribed form (through elections), he expresses his will regarding who will represent him and who will make fundamental social decisions on his behalf, of which we will all be a part.
