European Investment Bank - IAK

based in Luxembourg, is owned by all EU Member States on the basis of share capital. The Bank's main role is to provide financing for projects to meet EU objectives inside and outside the euro area through lending policy. The Bank is focused in:
- implementing cohesion policy in the EU (promoting economic growth, creating jobs, increasing social justice, reducing regional disparities, etc.),
- pursuing EU policies outside the EU, with purpose to strengthening development cooperation,
- addressing climate change measures and challenges, etc.

The Bank offers loans, guarantees, equity investments and advisory services.

The main organizational structure of the European Investment Bank, which has, in accordance with Article 308 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the EU, legal personality, consists of:
- the Board of Governors,
- the Board of Directors,
- Management Committee,
- Audit Committee.

Public and private sector entities can through

- European Investment Bank offices, located in different parts of the EU,

apply to the European Investment Bank for loan financing of the project, insofar as the latter contributes to the implementation of EU priority policies and meets all the prescribed conditions.
