Council of Europe
it is not an EU body, but an international organization based in Strasbourg, which is responsible for strengthening the rule of law, democracy and human rights and freedoms on European territory. The organization is thus focused on:

The Council of Europe was founded by ten countries in 1949 and today has 47 members, of which 27 are EU members. Slovenia became a member of the organization on 14 May 1993.
