PROJECT ENVIRONMENTAL APPLICABLE LAW ONLINE PLATFORM

European Court of Human Rights
is an international court based in Strasbourg, which has been operating since 1959 on the basis of the European Convention on Human Rights, adopted in 1950. The Convention, which is the basic foundation of democracy and the rule of law, has been ratified by 47 European countries.
Natural and legal persons may lodge a complaint directly with the European Court of Human Rights directly via the complaint form available on the Court's website if they believe that their protected rights have been violated by a State party to the Convention or the protocol concerned. However, an appeal must meet the admissibility criteria and conditions set out in Article 47 of the Rules of Procedure in order to be accepted before the Court. The proceedings before the Court are available in a short brochure and in a simplified case scheme.
