The main objective of the Industrial Emissions Directive - IED (Directive 2010/75/EU) is to achieve a high level of protection of human health and the environment as a whole by reducing harmful industrial emissions across the EU, thus ensuring transparency and publicity of data through the Industrial Emissions Portal more than 60,000 industrial areas from 65 economic activities by the following sectors:
The portal also has a map that provides an insight into the situation by country, year and industry. It should be noted that some countries have not provided data for individual years or that some data are still in the process of being collected.
